PS42 turf reinforcement matting from Erosion Control Blanket is manufactured from a composition of 67% polypropylene fiber and 33% agricultural straw stitched between a black UV stabilized polypropylene top net with a mesh size of 1.34 x 1.27 cm (0.53 x 0.5 in) and a black UV stabilized polypropylene bottom net with a mesh size of 1.59 x 1.59 cm (0.626 x 0.626 in). The "PS" and "4" represent the polypropylene and straw fiber applied at a minimum of 400 g/m and the "2" represents that the mat is netted on the top and bottom sides. The PS42 is a permanent turf reinforcement mat. The mat is sewn together on 1.5 in (38.1 mm) centers, with UV stabilized polypropylene black thread. Each roll of PS42 is packaged in clear shrink-wrap and includes installation instructions. The PS42 comes in convenient 67.2 m² (75 yd²)rolls.
